Drill #1: No Stride, 9-Spot T-DrillĀ

The purpose of the "No Stride, 9-Spot T-Drill" for youth hitters, concerning timing and hand-eye coordination, is to develop the ability to consistently make solid contact with pitches across the strike zone without incorporating a stride into their swing. By maintaining a stationary stance, hitters can focus on timing the pitch and adjusting their swing to effectively reach and hit balls placed in different locations and height levels on the tee.

This drill helps young hitters refine their hand-eye coordination by requiring them to track the ball from the tee to the bat without the aid of a stride for timing. It also emphasizes the importance of timing and proper mechanics in hitting, as hitters must coordinate their swing to contact pitches in various spots within the strike zone.
